Who we are
Skiin Animal Sciences is on a mission to change the future of veterinary care by harnessing the power of Textile Computing™, enabling caregivers to stay connected to their animals like never before.
We’re a multidisciplinary team of horse owners, riders, researchers, and engineers who believe that veterinary care can be revolutionized with innovative textile solutions. Join our mission to positively impact the future of veterinary care for animals and their caregivers.
Our vision is to promote equine health and welfare through accessible and comfortable textile solutions that give horses a voice, enable predictive veterinary care, and provide caregivers with greater peace of mind.
WHY TEXTILES?
Traditional Holter Monitoring systems used in Equine care rely on standard single-use adhesive electrodes, which can be cumbersome and uncomfortable for the animal, often requiring additional adhesive and straps to secure them. These systems may cause irritation and stress, potentially compromising the accuracy of the data.
Myant’s Skiin Equine system helps caregivers monitor their horses’ health without causing stress or discomfort. This results in more accurate insights into an animal’s baseline, while the system’s ease-of-use makes monitoring horses’ wellbeing simpler, more efficient, and more accessible for their caregivers.
